Summer Lovin

I'd have to say that my favorite part of summer, besides the whole no school aspect of course, would be pulling off the effortless I-just-threw-something-on-yet-I-look-amazing look. Oh that's right, silly me, I've never been able to do that! Don't you just hate those people? It's like a gift or skill that your born with...and it's not fair at all, not to mention. Well, if you're like me and love trying to pull it off, shirt-dresses are perfect for the look. I found three that are absolutely to die for, and they're great because they all have slightly different styles. The trick to finding what style you want is seeing either how uniform it is versus how loose and flowy it is. The first dress, made by Dallin Chase, is perfect for a casual dinner because it's really loose, but if you want to dress it up try adding a belt, and since the dress is a bit short, I would suggest adding heels only if your short (like me). The next dress, made by Rag & Bone, is really cute, although I would definitely add a belt with it just because its long and not very fitted, which also makes it casual but still a step up from the previous. I can definitely see myself wearing this either as a cover up or a dress, but either way it screams beach attire to me. The third dress, made by Rebecca Taylor, is just adorable and really fun. It's definitely the dressiest of all three, and the shoes that the model's wearing are super cute but it would be fun to wear some super high wedges and throw on a big derby-like hat. Then you'd be set for being adorable anywhere you go!

Right now, I'm loving a band I recently discovered called Say Hi To Your Mom. I wouldn't say the lead singer has the best voice, but almost all of they're songs have amazing beats, and if anything attracts me it would be a good beat. My favorites are Sweet Sweet Heartkiller (yes, it goes along with the whole vampire craze, but it's still my favorite by them), Hooplas Involving Circus Tricks, Blah Blah Blah, and Northwestern Girls. If you're a Strokes fan then you will for sure be into SHTYM because they sound eerily similar...
But anyways, give those four a listen; I have a feeling you'll agree with me.

Happy Summer kids!
