Spring Awakening

Some may say that I'm a little overeager blogging about wedges right now, but hey, I can't help the fact that I'm insanely sick of the cold. I mean let's be honest, who actually enjoys taking the longest, most convoluted route to walk from point A to point B just to avoid going outside for more than 15 seconds? Certainly not me...And my poor skin, not to mention, is brutally battling serious vitamin C deficiency. If I don't get some sun soon, I just might be mistaken for Kristen Stewart (aka the palest girl alive...paler than the actual vampires in the movie).
Anyways, I'm quite excited for warm weather, in case you haven't figured that out yet, and I was really excited when I found out that wedges are still a hot shoe this spring/summer. Apparently Kate Spade makes some adorable wedges, as all three shoes are Kate Spade's. My favorite, by far, are the red and white striped pair; I LOVE the idea of pairing them with a simple white dress (another spring trend) and a big gold bangle. The black ones are super cute for pairing with dressy black high-waisted shorts, and I love the rose on the toe of the shoe. Although they're not my favorite, the white and blue pair are a good alternative to a straw heel in case you need to dress up the shoe a bit, and I do love the unique bird pattern on the straps.
Just in case your a little more than way excited to break out the wedges, I posted a satisfying alternative to sandals--wedge rain boots. There so perfect because you can wear them right now in winter, in spring during April showers, AND in summer during the thunderstorms. I love how cute these Hunter wedge boots are, and you can even buy the fun/adorable Hunter socks to accessorize your rain boots.
Click on the link below and listen to that song. I'm not telling you what it is because I'm thinking maybe you'll actually be curious and check it out. I'm a genius, right? It's an amazing song by an amazing me.
Until next time,
