Back in Action, Baby

One year older, one year wiser, I'm back! I'm completely inspired in new ways, and ready to give this blog another go (I know, I tend to be a little bi-polar with it..my apologies). I just can't help it; I'm totally excited about this year's upcoming trends, and what better way to channel that excitement than into a brand new blog entry?
So in my comeback entry (yea that's right, I'm calling this a comeback), I've decided to post about Fall's essentials...real creative, I know. First up, we've got a classic peacoat. Plain and simple, never underestimate the beauty of a classic peacoat. Ever. I've actually had the pleasure of wearing the coat pictured, as a friend of mine so kindly let me borrow it, and let me tell you if you're on the lookout for a peacoat BUY THAT ONE. It's super warm, super cute, and only $138. Now that's a deal if I've ever seen one.
By now you should all know me well enough that it wouldn't be a true entry from me without seeing a pair of winter-wearable shorts. So yea, I included them. And boy am I in love with these! I recently discovered this oh-so-Bri-ish (said in a british accent) line, Jack Wills, and more specifically these oh-so-fab shorts. They're basically the perfect combo between the classic tailored look and the new Baroque trend if you ask me. Rock them with a fitted blazer, tights, and ballet flats or loafers and we are good to go!
Speaking of loafers, these guys are (surprisingly) numero tres on my Fall's essentials list! I'm thinking the fashion powers that be have been trying to sneak these guys in through oxfords (which got interceded by Toms...ew), but I'm feeling excited because the loafer look is here to stay! Unfortunately, I have not had the pleasure of owning a pair yet; however, I plan to purchase these ASAP. What's even better is they come in burgundy (hello, oxblood!!). How the heck do you wear these you ask? Simple, treat them as ballet flats and wear them with the confidence of a rockstar.
Lastly, I'm super excited about the fact that leather is here to stay! Last winter's leather leggings--bought with low expectations--I figured I was never going to wear again. But thank god this trend has prevailed because I'm in love! I don't think I need to say more about them other than go out and buy yourself a damn pair because trust me, you're not cool until you own a pair of leather leggings ;)
Now onto the part that I know you've all been waiting for, the prize for putting up with my endless banter about my first love (fashion), drum roll please.....Click Me! For some reason, it just feels so Fall to me. I love it, and I hope you do too!
Feels good to be back.

Stay warm,
Meg
